Official Fundraising

Fundraising for what?? For UTAR Ball Night 2007 that is! Due to the lack/no sponsorship for UTAR Ball Night, I have to work extra hard for fundraising in order to generate money for the programme department so that they can actually deliver a world class performance on that very night itself at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel this 21st of July. This very grand events serves as a finale for all the orientation events to welcome the freshmen of UTAR during the May Intake of 2007. Sounds like an advertisement for UTAR sponsorship? Yes, I am your beloved useless Sponsorship Manager.

I find it pretty hard to get sponsors with so many damned restrictions which indirectly tells the sponsors that we are gonna take your money but please dont hope that we are going to do something for you! Who will sponsor your event where u dont allow people to hang banners and put their logo at your backdrop? This is the only thing that an education institution can give the sponsors for the money/items they sponsored! Well, I am tired already but will still gonna try anyway.

Oh yea, fundraising... Well, we started the 1cents and 5cents coin donation campaign today along with the sales of Wendy's homemade muffins and Chinese Bookmarks from Ben's uncle. The coins campaign was going fine but the sales of bookmarks was terrible as we manage to sell only 2 sets of the RM3 and around 6 of the RM1 bookmarks. However, the wonderful muffins did compensate the dissapointments with 51 muffins gone in 1.5hours and its not even lunch time!!! Thanks Wendy for everything and guys for helping out at the booth!

P/S: anyone need to get rid of their cute little 1cents and 5cents? Or do you need some bookmarks to remember where u stopped for any wonderful books? Please look for me ya!!!
